morning, washington. thanks for joining us on a thursday, i am alison starling. >> i am pamela brown. thanks for being here. we begin with traffic and weather. we will check with lisa baden in a moment. first, meteorologist adam caskey. a drop in temperatures. >> that's true. and there's a wind chill. let's look at the temperatures. 26 and upper marlborough, 28 in alexandria, 26 in fairfax. the wind chill is near 20 degrees. in hagerstown and northern maryland there are wind chills in the teens. we broke 60 degrees yesterday. low 50's's today. .ow 40's partly cloudy and cold tonight. mid to upper 20's tonight. high temperatures around 50 tomorrow. warming up to nearly 60 by saturday and sunday. rain on sunday. probably a soaking with good accumulation. now to lisa baden for the commute. >>> they are doing overnight construction on the inner loop side near 202. hot lanes project work is being cleared from the beltway. between the american legion bridge and the wilson bridge, that is. looks good on 66, 95 in maryland and virginia as well. in alexandria there's a water main break. edsal

. >> i am alison starling. thanks for joining us on this tuesday. let's get started with traffic and weather every ten minutes. adam caskey is back from his break. it is hard to believe it is almost april. >> the average high today is almost 60. we will probably be in the low 50's this afternoon. the last days have been in the 40's. another cold day today. let's look at the satellite and radar. clear skies. a few clouds of to the west. we will see some of that in our region later today. a mostly sunny day. the clouds will roll into night and will bring a wintry mix tomorrow. 28 degrees in hagerstown, 29 in quantico, 27 in culpeper, 37 in lexington park, 28 in gaithersburg. mostly sunny, low to mid 50's today. cloudy tomorrow with light mixed precipitation with limited accumulation in the higher elevations out west. >>> looks good around the beltway, interstate travel, looks good out of southern maryland looks good between annapolis and cheverly. no troubles on 95 or the b-w parkway. 270 southbound beginning to build in volume at urbana. moving nicely at father hurley boulevard. 6

washington," on your side. >> good morning, washington. great to have you with us on this early thursday morning. i am pamela brown. >> i am alison starling. good morning. let's get started with traffic and weather every ten minutes. adam caskey has the latest on what is a cold forecast after a beautiful afternoon yesterday. >> sister there was perfect, considering it is early march. it was in the low to mid 60's yesterday with sunshine. today it will be a lot colder. we are feeling the effects already. 25 in upper marlborough, 28 in currently. alread the wind chills are in the teens and 20's. temperatures in the 20's, a cold start, clear skies, sunshine, near 40 this afternoon. low 40's locally and maybe upper 30's in outlying areas. tomorrow will be a little warmer, near 50, which is average for this time of year. by sunday, a widespread area of rain. >>> around the beltway looks good. no problems on 95, 66, the greenway, the toll road, 270, 70, baltimore-washington parkway. route 4 and about five, giving you the all clear on 210. normal service systemwide on metro rail. this is video

thanks for joining us at 5:00 on this wednesday morning. let's get started with traffic and weather every ten minutes. it is a winter morning with a damp, cold air. >> it will look like it's especially later this morning and into the midday. cold rain mixed with snow flakes at times. it will look like winter. but no stimulation except for the highest elevations far north and west of the metro. it's 34 in hagerstown, 39 in winchester and culpeper. 41 in quantico. we have clouds moving overhead right now, but rain showers are still locked in the west. they will slowly push into the region later this morning into the mid day. some areas of cold rain mixed with wet snowflakes at times. temperatures holding steady, then dropping a little in the afternoon, near 40 degrees. scattered sprinkles tomorrow, not a washout. >>> slowly developing is the traffic flow. we will show you how things are developing nicely in landmark on 395. traffic on the right is headed to the pentagon. this is the beltway at university boulevard, looks good in both directions. newschopper 7 in a little while. now to

of felony touted use on their three young daughters. it happens inside this two-story family style house on blocked court in bristow. >> you don't do that to a child. they are god's gift. >> prince william county authorities say that on saturday the two trap they're naked daughters in a small room by nailing a 5-foot tall piece of dry wall in front of the doorway. the four-year-old managed to escape and alert and neighbor that herher four-month-old and two- year-old sisters. >> they don't deserve that. >> then the neighbor rescued the other girls and called police. police believe the girls were in the room for no more than a day. neighbors had seen police here before. >> it was kind of lyell. >> this is the second time the county has had to intervene and put her children in south protective custody. her 22-month-old twin boys were found wandering alone years ago on a busy county road. she was sleeping in a nearby camper. it's not clear who has custody of the young twin boys. there's no court date set for the couple. they have been arrested and charged with three counts of felony child ab
